Consistent Contribution to Tourism by a Person under the age of 30
This award is awarded to a person under the age of 30 and employed in the tourism industry. The nominee will have consistently contributed to the positive image of tourism.
Important Notes:
- There is no nomination fee to enter this category.
- This person must be a member of YATA (Young Australians Tourism Association)
- The person must be under the age of 30 as at the 30th June 2008
- Self nomination for this category is acceptable or can be made by another party.
- The answer to each question must not be more than 2 pages.
- The nominee’s Curriculum Vitae and no more than 5 letters of recommendation may be included.
- The award will be presented at the discretion of the judges, based on the submissions received.
- There is no entry to the Australian Tourism Awards.
- This award will not necessarily be recognised annually.
- Finalists will be asked to attend a 30 minute interview with the judges in Perth or a phone interview for applicants in regional areas.
- Interview questions will be forwarded to you in advance.

YATA Information
The Young Australians Tourism Association (YATA) is the peak industry body representing tourism students and tourism industry youth. The Association has the key role of assisting students with the move into the tourism industry and acts a support base and networking forum for young tourism professionals as they develop into their career.
